COMEX copper is struggling to capitalize gains amid persistent selling in equities and firmness in dollar overseas. Global stocks have been volatile as investors assessed corporate earnings and U.S. Treasury yields, climbing to multi-decade highs. The DXY gains momentum near 3-year high as investors weigh the likelihood of a near-term deal to end the Middle East war. However, a late night buying in US equities is seen keeping the red metal supported on Friday morning at $6.36 per pound, up 1% on the day.
