EIA expects India fuel consumption to rise next year

The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) reports that India is expected to increase its liquid fuels consumption by approximately 0.3 million barrels per day (b/d) by 2027. The estimated consumption will be 5.77 million barrels per day (mbpd) in 2026 and 6.04 mbpd in 2027, up from 5.67 mbpd in 2025. India's liquid fuel output is projected at 0.99 mbpd in 2026, rising to 1.02 mbpd in 2027.
