India Forex reserves at all-time high

India’s foreign exchange reserves rose by USD 12.422 billion, reaching a record high of USD 729.328 billion for the week ending August 21, according to the RBI. Foreign currency assets increased by USD 9.482 billion to USD 591.333 billion. Gold reserves also went up by USD 2.801 billion, totaling USD 114.218 billion. The special drawing rights (SDRs) rose by USD 112 million to USD 18.852 billion. Additionally, India’s reserve position with the IMF increased by USD 26 million to USD 4.925 billion during this time.
