PSBs Employees PLI scheme in abeyance upon employees concerns, FinMin says

The Union Finance Minister met with a group of bank employees from various Public Sector Banks, led by the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh. The delegation discussed several issues, including the review of ex-gratia payments, medical facilities for retired workers, and changes to the Performance Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for employees. The minister acknowledged these concerns and decided to postpone the implementation of the PLI Scheme, originally scheduled for November 19, 2024, for FY 2025–26. This will be addressed in upcoming Bipartite Settlement/Joint Note discussions.
